I’ve seen my fair share of brand development and I’ve come to the realisation that when we are trying to come up with a name, logo, colour scheme for our product or service, we overthink it and make the mistake of designing what we imagine as a mature brand. 

In other words, we try to design a full tree when in fact all we need to design is the seed.

Don’t waste too much time overthinking and trying to develop a full fledged brand when all you need is the start, the fertile ground and the seed that will grow and evolve into your brand.

Remember a brand is a lot more than the sum of a logo, name and colour scheme. Relax, focus on the product and service, the rest will come.
